Phnom Penh Administration Discusses Cracking Down on Illegal Mortgage Businesses with Real Estate and Mortgage Inspectors

PHNOM PENH: The Phnom Penh Capital Administration is in discussions with the regulator of real estate and mortgage businesses to find measures to strengthen the work of cracking down on the illegal mortgages in the future.

The meeting was held at Phnom Penh Capital Hall, chaired by Phnom Penh Governor, Khuong Sreng on Wednesday afternoon, 26 October, with the participation of the Director General of Real Estate and Mortgage Business Regulators and the Mortgage and Association Business Association.

It should be noted that this meeting took place after the Phnom Penh Capital Administration took measures to crack down on many illegal pawnshops and confiscated hundreds of motorcycles, some of which had been stolen.
